Frequently Asked Questions:

The best way to reach any staff is via the phone.
We realize that might be old school! It is a decision which helps us centralize communication (keep track of requests) and allows us to maintain some work-life balance. Unfortunately email has become so cluttered it is not a valuable tool anymore.
Rest assured, phones are monitored regularly.

An initial psychiatric consultation of 60 minutes in length is $650 and usually is in person. A complete assessment can take 2 to 3 visits if your history is more complex (multiple medical issues, psych issues and/or medication/treatment trials).
Customized care: The frequency of follow ups depend on your need and the severity of symptoms. Thus in the first year to 18months of treatment, visits can range from weekly to monthly and would decrease in frequency as your symptoms improve.

Dr. Lazarevic's IME's are highly detailed long form reports. They are well regarded by HAVEN, CPH and OPMC due to the superior clinical assessment explaining any treatment recommendations- if relevant.
The initial interview is usually 90 to 120minutes in length in person (in NY or CT) or via telemedicine. The interview may require a second visit to complete the evaluation process.
The fee is $3600.00 and can be made as a split payment, but must be paid in full for the report to be released. This fee includes visits, all collateral contacts and any record review.

EMPC has 2 offices:
in New York City (near Grand Central Station) at 280 Madison Ave & 28 Lafayette Street in Greenwich CT.
We offer telemedicine sessions.
-
The practice currently doesn't accept health insurance.
If you are on an insurance plan- check the 'percent reimbursement' for' out of network out-patient psychiatric care'.
EMPC provides statements of paid sessions for patients to submit to insurance carriers for direct reimbursement.
The practice accepts credit cards, debit cards, HSA and we believe some options will become available (direct pay from banks, please ask the office as the banking and payment system is evolving!). Unfortunately checks are not accepted.

We are conducting a few trial groups in late 2024, to address most common clinical topics discussed in individual sessions such as: health education, lifestyle changes, nutrition choices, laboratory review... all of which we consider durable tools for living.

Dr. Lazarevic's podcast offers free meditations which can serve different functions: it can be used to remind you of treatment goals set, it can be used as a mental/emotional anchor as her voice invites calm, it can read for inspiration, it can be played in the background to promote concentration or ease. All of them are downloadable, free for the public!
